Wildlife biologist Corina Newsome joins me on this week's podcast to talk about how birding is beneficial for racial justice and conservation at large.

And "everyone" includes more than human world
Astronomers at #AAS247, I’d love to see our community show up for the special session on Tuesday an interdisciplinary discussion of the Ethics of Outer Space. Decisions are being made now that will affect everyone on earth for generations to come. What is our role? What are the ethical frameworks?

One issue is indoor lighting at night, generally called "light exposure," not #LightPollution, in the scholarly communities.
Yet body (also) as env is a central premise of #envhist #envhum #envjustice

Our #hospital is moving to basically universal requirement to work #nightshift (for specialties that require in-house #night coverage) until age 55, then you can opt out.
I don't actually mind working nights, so I didn't really care, but there is medical evidence it is bad for your body at age 50+
