I live in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and have friends who work in conservation and environmenal education here. The work being done on our waterways here is honesy amazing.
The U.S.’s largest estuary is showing signs of revival. Once written off as a dead zone, water clarity in Chesapeake Bay has improved, underwater grasses are expanding, and crab populations are steadier thanks to decades of pollution controls. Nature buff.ly/morNFth

The wind turbines being too loud for whales thing is part of a deliberate op by fossil fuel companies making fake environmenal groups. Saw their deceptive ads on kiosks downtown before.

On top of the environmenal damage they cause, I'm staying inside today because the smoke from Peak District fires is blowing our way and it's not doing my lungs any favours. Also I had to drive an hour out of my way to get somewhere on Thursday due to fire related road closures.
Some sensible soul has started a petition on banning the sale of disposable BBQs. Given the number of wildfires we've had in the UK and have seen over in Europe, this is an absolutely obvious thing to do.
