also has some annoyances, they will happily combine packages but will not split, and for some reason EMS is very flakey (but regular airmail and epacket is perfectly fine). other than those minor gripes i recommend them wholeheartedly!

De minimis was everywhere; the Temu / AliExpress thing is that China/HK has ePacket — really cheap ~14-day shipping.

But I do live in a place that by distance should have more expensive rates. And through epacket light (which is a cheap option, but doesn't have insurance) my Ww plus shipping was around 105 CAD...

i have! i had a couple of camcorders get here very recently from japan after some impulse purchases when i saw how cheap they were going for. there's been nothing else to worry about so far besides the extra €3 per item in customs duty for both packages. both sent via regular cheapo epacket

They cancelled due to tariffs since last August but there are exceptions (Courior Post, Amazon FBA, ePacket).
I successfully shipped to USA 2 months ago.
Some smaller post office branches may not know about those exceptions.

I successfully shipped to USA 2 months ago.
