Holy shit that one jackass took off the leather jacket. I was beginning to believe it was part of his epidermis
Interesting picture of today's festivities.

Fascinating metabolism requiring the ingestion of minerals to absorb and transform into naturally secreted hardening ichor from their epidermis to mimic their fabled photophobia interpreted as a natural armoring towards potential perils. Excellemt use of the term "inclement" for hazardous weather~

That human being, whether he or she suddenly gets all the privileges and attention simply because the skin doesn’t have much melanin in the epidermis.

Less of eumelanin and more of pheomelanin, based on biochemical synthesis of types of melanin.

That led to all sorts of sociological problems.

Rockrose extract reduced fungal invasion after infection in lab-grown human epidermis. The compounds behind its activity remain unknown. doi.org/hckq9b
Mediterranean rockrose extract shows fungicidal activity against common skin infections
A polyphenol-rich extract from Cistus salviifolius, a Mediterranean rockrose species traditionally used to treat skin conditions, has shown fungicidal activity against several dermatophytes, the fungi responsible for superficial infections of the skin, hair and nails.

(cw sh) I think it had to be severe because it seems like he got more and more reckless with it as to try and get an intervention or something. since his shell seems to take the place of the epidermis, making the dermis the basement layer, it would be even more stratified, so he'd have to exert

But here’s the real kicker. Turns out, that need for a Tampax epidermis didn’t come until around 8,000 years ago, when people coming from the Middle East brought farming and agriculture with them.

They are rolling on the epidermis (and wherever else they may lurk) with laughter and that is a better image for me as it serves to quell my deep set aversion to think of them through what I would see through a microscopic lens…so again thank you for that! 😜

In plant biology they are already recording slow calcium related traveling waves down to μm resolutions.

μm traveling waves!!

“Local traveling waves of cytosolic Ca2+ elicited by defense signals or wounding are propagated by distinct mechanisms in Arabidopsis”

Defense-inducing Ca2+ waves in leaf epidermis are stimulus specific.

oh for sure, and you can have a deep injury that has little to no visibility at the epidermis, too. my wife had 2 discs herniate in her back and then rupture, which is serious af pain wise, but her back more or less looked normal from the outside.

Uh yes they would be

*checks notes*

drilling through epidermis, skull, dura mater, and then into the relevant portion of the brain, using this here ultra-titanium drill bit for efficient penetration
