#epigentics
watching an alleged therapist use their very large platform to say epigentics means white people are inherently predisposed to evil is so...

biologists would be much better off if we used the term "epigentics" less and if we used the term "epistasis" more

I don’t talk about it often but I am one of three trans family members all on the same horizontal line of our family tree, maybe epigentics, genetics? who knows but I think there’s a there there

even my mother thought this was dark #therapy #epigentics
anyone else make Umschlagplatz jokes when they gather all their important documents and valuables?

Ornish is one of the leading researchers in lifestyle medicine. And Epigentics should not be overlooked when discussing genetic predispositions.

Thanks for sharing this video. 🙏🏻

Epigentics show that genetics isn't always the final outcome.

Of course, my spicy genomics brain loves this paper on the #epigentics pathways.
METHYLTRANSFERASE1 and Ripening Modulate Vivipary during Tomato Fruit Development
Analysis of a unique tomato epiallele reveals an epigenetic pathway that, along with the ripening process, modulates vivipary in tomato fruits.

Catholic epigentics is real, y'all. I haven't been Catholic since my teens, but you can bet my Polish Catholic ancestry demanded I go say a prayer when JPII died.

My institute (VAI) has joined BlueSky! @vainstitute.bsky.social - give them a follow if you like Metabolism/Epigentics/Neurodegeneration/Structural Bio or Cell Bio. We also have 5(!) open faculty positions currently advertised across 3 departments. Check them out.

Hiii !!
-I'm currently in highschool
-I'm hyperfixating on science related to autism right now (epigentics and some neuroscience)
-Big fan of genshin and hsr right now
-Starting to medically transition :D
-I love crows!!

No quite. epigentics means our dna was primed late last century
August 7, 2026 at 8:41 AM
oh so epigentics is affecting the birds metabolism?? this does seem wild. is the naive next step something like “maybe we can change metabolism related genes in humans to make it easier to XYZ”?

I heard this several years ago and it's a treat to hear again. Listen to Krista Tippett in a conversation with Dr. Rachel Yehuda discussing epigentics and her work.

Had the pleasure of attending the ASHG conference this week, where I watched one of my lab members present a poster about their research. 'm thankful to witness their active participation in idea exchange, enhancing our scientific knowledge.

what even is a personality disorder, anyway?

every time I scratch a "personality disorder" I find a complete misunderstanding of human neurology.

mostly because we know for certain that autistic brains are *structurally* different (~~regulated by genetics/epigentics).

no one accounts for it tho.

I love thinking about epigentics and how these things that make us who we are actually work.
July 24, 2026 at 2:48 PM
Hmmm, apparently, I may be incorrect. Looks like it may be more instinctual vs epigentics.

I was thinking about it in the context of how we can see the impact of trauma passed down through generations resulting in certain psychological and biological expression from generation to generation
August 8, 2026 at 3:17 PM
Like epigentics says that trauma can be passed down so they absolutely pass down their evil to continue inflicting trauma.

bruh by the grace of god im attending a literary journalism residency writing about uhhhh my mother and her mother and intergenerational trauma and mental illness and hauntology and epigentics. on one hand i know how lucky i am! and on the other…it’s insane stuff to sit with and intellectualise 💘
