#equate
It’s incredibly insulting to me as a Muslim to equate Islam with the modern political state of Saudi Arabia.
Another WaPo MENA correspondent moment

Not only is this a wildly stupid analogy but the House of Saud built a shopping mall full of Filipino slaves and European luxury brands right on top of the Masjid al-Haram. Nothing you say or do can desecrate the holy sites more than what's already been done

I simply don't equate nonmedical transition to nontransition. Staying closeted is nontransition.

No wonder the fake Christian repugs equate him with the devil!

Courageous principled leadership, refusing to equate criticism of Zionism with antisemitism, defending Palestinian rights, free speech, and moral clarity despite fierce pressure. Well done Zack top man 💚👍

Also maybe, just maybe, we don't want to equate accountability with retribution.

Russia suffered 16,130 casualties in the first week of November, marking the war's highest weekly toll, Ukraine's military said.

Averaging over 2,300 soldiers daily, the losses equate to neutralizing an entire motorized rifle regiment every 24 hours.

I keep seeing people equate Prop 42 in California and Amendment 3 in Florida with California’s Prop 13. Don’t get me wrong, 42 and 3 are very, very bad. But the comparison really undersells how cataclysmic Prop 13 was and is. Like “instant 60 percent drop in property tax revenues” level cataclysmic.

I always equate him more with snuff and coke because so many screen adaptations had him on the toot rather than the needle.

Also the fact they equate "fuckin" with love. TK never mentioned romance as far as I'm aware.

I guess the skills to be successful in business don't really equate to the skills to be a successful contributor to human society.

Disappointing and unfair take from Kidd. How hard has Talarico slammed Christian nationalism throughout his whole campaign? And to equate Christians voting their values with Christian nationalism is precisely the crap CN’s critics have been accused of for years.

Tom is visible proof privilege does not equate to intelligence.

Well said Sarah.

you realize was created as a bipartisan effort to quell Republicans on something that wasn't an actual issue?

more over, abolish ICE. border control doesn't equate to "working with Trump on a *secure border*"

It's disheartening that so many folks equate Christianity with right-wing evangelicalism.

Anyone trying to equate anti-AIPAC with being anti-Semitic is either a fool, disingenuous, or a bot. Supporting AIPAC is anti-human.

It is so simple not to equate a single Jewish person anywhere in the world with the state of Israel. That choice is ALWAYS available.

Stop pretending that "I like guns and I like hunting and fishing" equate to "I believe that we should not exploit the environment."

They're completely different things.

Southern Black people love guns, hunting and fishing and are already super Blue. And Black men already support climate protection

It's not "derangement". It's not "a state of mental disturbance and disorientation".

It's just people behaving in line with their true values, which are revealed to be undeniably shitty.

People having shitty values doesn't equate to mental disturbance. Sane people have shitty values all the time.
Truly remarkable that, once Zohran became the candidate and looked to win, Cuomo actually left the party *his father used to lead* in order to undermine the Democratic candidate. When it became clear Abdul could win, Stevens *switched parties* in order to undermine the Dem candidate. Derangement.

No they don’t.

Barristers are not their clients. You don’t equate barristers with the characters or causes of their clients.

Literally the point of the post you are responding to.

I equate big tech in this piece to remoras, so fun remora fact:

I had a remora try to attach to ME while I was scuba-diving a while back, and I had to ineptly shoo it away with a flipper while it desperately tried to suction-cup onto my wetsuit.

Turns out they're not very picky.
I wrote about how the midterms truly prove how much Americans hate data centers and the big tech and AI companies that fund them.

And how, like the Ancient Mariner, the US tech industry now must wear the rotting, squawking albatross of MAGA around their necks, due to their own stupid actions.
Maybe Telling Americans They're Useless Eaters Who Must Perish for the Glorious AI Revolution Was a Bad Idea: Midterm Thoughts
Americans really, really, really hate data centers. Lest you harbored any residual doubt about this, the midterm elections just proved it. Take a gander at these apocalyptic numbers for data center a...
