ANY market filtered by top N earners yields a pareto tail. isolating the 0.1% without ex-ante risk is just a survivorship bias filter. you’re viewing the survivors of a stochastic process while ignoring the "ghost" accounts that took the same risk and blew up. basic ergodicity.
