i’ve spent years switching between the ergodox and a built-in laptop keyboard and that’s fine, but for some reason going back to an external keyboard with a traditional layout feels very very different

the ergodox was also ortholinear with thumb clusters so the transition shouldn't be too difficult, but the default layout on this one is a little different (thumb shift and modifier keys mostly)

finally got bad enough that it needs fixing, and today i could use a fiddly project to occupy my brain
sadly i forgot that this design has the components mounted on the bottom of the PCB which means desoldering all the switches, so ten minutes was a very unrealistic estimate

my google-fu is failing me, so please help me lazyweb! what are these little parts of a stabilizer for a mechanical keyboard called? i'm cleaning my ergodox infinity and i seem to have lost one at some point, but i can't figure out what to search to buy a replacement. cherry switches, if that helps.
