Reminiscing: going from enemies to lovers
#wolstinien #estishira #sixsentencesaturday
Estinien shared no happy memories with Shira—he caused the root of her sorrows from his own prejudices against her. As they passed Whitebrim Front, their steps imprinting on the densely packed snow, he knew she was thinking back on how he tried to bury her lance in her, driven by his rancour and enmity. He stopped, feeling her press into him with the sudden inertia. She was holding his sleeve as they walked through Coerthas together, knowing that once upon a time, he thought her detestable and impossible to love. “Give me your hand,” he said, his voice grave and soft against the wind. His fingertips cradled her scales and skin as he turned her palm to his lips, gently kissing the wound he inflicted so many seasons ago.
