X r/ethdev •• method of building Quantum Computers is utterly flawed. The number sqrt(-1) refers to literal imaginary objects. Descartes' argument for why he named it "imaginary" is correct. It actual refers to the internal perspective on matter (though it is not dualism, there are not 2 substances, it is non-dualism, which is monism with a fictional division, for mathematical purposes, between internal (mind) and external (matters) perspectives). Quantum mechanics is also about the physics of knowledge, not directly ontology. The uncertainty principle is not about what exists but what we can know. There also actually are trajectories, you can calculate them from Schwinger's Action Principle, but the way to compute them is currently a very niche field. The planetary model of the atom is correct but needs adjusting. The cloud model is wrong. It is not real-valued Bohmian Mechanice but comnley-valued (mind and matter)

Wrote a small rant on r/ethdev about contributing to Kohaku and getting absolute silence for a month. If PQ is a strategic priority for Ethereum, the on-the-ground signal sure doesn't feel like it.

I’m now using cast wallet import to store my key as an encrypted keystore under ~/.foundry/keystores, and then referencing it with the --account flag instead of copying the key around. Way better than juggling raw private keys or fragile .env files. #ethdev

In this step I deployed SimpleStorage locally using forge create with --rpc-url pointing to Anvil. No more relying only on Remix, I’m starting to get a more professional dev workflow #anvil #ethdev

The name ethereum.eth is also now pointing to the Ethdev address. Donations can be sent there (although there’s a billion dollars on it already).

The Foundation is still making plans on what, if anything, will replace the old TipJar.

What a crazy day. And to top it off I have a big announcement: the Ethereum Foundation TipJar is being retired, after many years of service. All funds (about $12M) will be moved to the EthDev main wallet. No new Unicorns will be given.

At some point Ethereum itself was like that. Most people from the outside couldn’t tell the difference between the Ethereum Foundation, ethereum the protocol, ETHDEV (the private entity hired by EF) and in some cases, The DAO.
