"The point of ethics is to harshly bind you and preemptively absolve me, obviously."

- my impression of like 90% of self described radicals in contemporary ethics.

Perhaps he just thinks being up his own alleged ethics will be sufficient. How sweet.

Also maybe have an enforceable code of ethics and a ban on bribe-receiving….

Oh, hey! It’s time for annual ethics training at NIH. Time to collectively bang our heads against walls while we read all the ethics rules that don’t seem to apply to this regime. Good times.

NEW: Trump made $1.4 billion in crypto. Voters noticed.

Campaigns have poured nearly $500 million into corruption and ethics ads as voters grow tired of the president’s self-dealing.

My students have to do an ethics review to send out an online survey. And yet projects like this:
This startup is working to erect thousands of giant mirrors in space to reflect sunlight on to the Earth during night-time. So we have a million questions.
Startup's "idiotic" plan to illuminate Earth would "end the night sky as we know it”
Reflect Orbital wants to launch 50,000 satellites to reflect sunlight back on the planet.

Soaking up the last little bit of this glorious LA weather before heading back to the current epicenter of government corruption, Washington, DC.

I am extremely motivated for the accountability fight that’s on the horizon.

Time for a renaissance of ethics in government.

Former ethics commissioner committing ethics violations. You couldn’t write this if you tried.

Add “unless they are impeached for violating a strict ethics code designed to ensure impartiality and fairness.”

Related: I’m still looking for leads and help on jobs, fellowships, and freelance contracts on drones, GIS, aid, disaster, OSINT, tech ethics, and journalism.

I simply will not work for evil people and/or weapons manufacturers, which is also why I haven’t had paying work since Trump 2.0 began.
Drone tech has so many incredible applications for so many industries and if you want to make any sort of living you have to work for an illiterate Nazi pervert dweeb who collects erotic anime figurines.
It genuinely does suck and is *bad* that it feels like there’s almost nowhere to go for people who 1. Want to work on robotics (like drones) and 2. Don’t want to build weapons.

“You cant have chromatic ethics” what a predictably mauve thing to say

It's funny (urk) how every goddamn time someone proposes strategic voting, it's always for a monster and it never, ever, works.

"Well if you vote for the party that aligns with your ethics, you'll split the vote because I have no ethics to vote with."
