#euDKA
It took us a while to recognize euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis (euDKA) in patients treated with Na-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors. It seems that we may have to be on the lookout for euDKA in patients treated with glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (#Ozempic #Zepbound)

Traditional hospital-based protocols for DKA, in which insulin infusion is adjusted based on glucose levels, are not effective in #euDKA because euglycemia limits the capacity for insulin administration.

How should euDKA be managed?

Yes the flozin heart failure trials certainly had large populations without diabetes and found them efficacious (and much, much lower euDKA risk than in patients with diabetes)
