no thank you! i find dark evenings cosy and dark mornings crushing
happy standard-time day to much of north america, and a reminder that this is the correct time to make permanent. i hope western canadians celebrating their new winter DST will enjoy the sun rising well after 9am by new years.

it rips that the sun goes down while I’m still stuck in work meetings. it rules that it’s pitch black before I can enjoy it! sunlight is better in the mornings, when everyone is getting ready for work, instead of in the evenings when they can hang out with their friends!!!

My brilliant idea:

Next winter, instead of moving the clocks back, giving us brighter mornings in exchange for darker evenings, just skip the hours between 1-3pm, so the day’s ACTUALLY shorter, and we get brighter both!

I am very sad. I really loved watching 60 minutes on Sunday evenings. For decades! I refuse to now.

The real victims of daylight savings is my stupid cat daughters who can't understand why I am feeding them an hour later in the evenings.

Darker mornings and evenings mean more encounters like this. I love my daily commute! It sure beats driving 🦊

Imagine spending your days helping people cope with financial stress while privately wondering how you're going to afford your own electric bill.

That's the reality for Texas social worker Samantha Lott, who has to work evenings and weekends just to make ends meet.

This is America in 2026.
