If you'll forgive the LOTR reference, he's like Saruman in the Shire, determined to damage as much as he can before he's forced out. Unfortunately, we don't have magical evlish dirt or seeds to undo his harm; it'll just take effort and lot and lots of time.

applies to both versions: after being released they only spoke ancient evlish and had to learn the new common language due to his pefect memory (and generally being raised to be as smart as possible) it was quite easy for sage/smc but tr/pvc still struggle

Those sound like excellent places to start. Evlish Archdruid was the first one I thought of, but getting that to work in this Standard would be a nightmare. The kami is a much better idea.

The party tracked them down to a train station where the infected were loading it up with a bunch of supplies. The Warlock went invisible and snuck on the train to see what the supplies where and crates labelled in evlish. She couldn't read it but she figured out one of the symbols meant explosive.
