I think I've asked this before, but I'm still not fully understanding it.
Why do some people say "eXetera", "eXcape" and so on when there's no "x" there? It doesn't shorten the word or make any kind of linguistic sense!
In case of "eXcape", I'd argue that it even makes it longer.
