friendly reminder if ur ever gonna make ur own blog site with self hosted files to look into tools like exiftool because image exif data can be scary and very exposing, always clean exif data from images!

does anyone know how to get exiftool to operate on non-standard XMP/RDF metadata? VRChat adds some metadata in a custom namespace and exiftool just ignores it from my (admittedly stumbling around in the dark) testing

exiftool will scrub metadata. I believe Signal also does that by default with any media you send using it.

Für mich als nicht Coding-/Scripting-affine Person ist Claude schon genial. Ich lasse mir gerade ein Script bauen, welches die JPG-Previews aus RAWs mit exiftool und dem Apple RAW Programm (wegen der Hassi) ausliest, daraus die GPS-Koordinaten extrahiert und diese dann über OSM in Land/Stadt […]
