Every time that I start to think that DCC can't go any bigger and crazier, it surpasses my expections!
I've finished up book 6 now, so getting more of the outside universe into things now. Looks like things are about to go down on floor 9.

I did. And that - as well as the teammates not throwing their teammate, awful as she is, under the bus - is what 99% of professional sports teams would have done. The expections are probably expressly Left-leaning European football clubs like St. Pauli or Rayo Vallecano.

Not sure why but the Phillies remind me of the "wilderness" Blue Jays teams (from 1998 running through 2014). Always had some great talent (Delgado, Halladay, Green off the top of my head) and high expections... every year a flop. I mean at least the Phillies were making playoffs.
