Get in the worldview externalizer

Sorry for the dump, will take it down once I’ve processed, I’m very much an externalizer and also just not always happy and naked. (Sometimes I’m anxious and naked)

The only way to change things is to rehouse cost back on the externalizer when they try to externalize cost on to you.

If that person thinks they can externalize costs on to trans people, I have bad news about the cultural moment we're in for them....

I’m well aware I don’t owe any of you this information, that’s not the point of me saying it, I’m just an externalizer and need to get things out of me so I don’t obsess over them. Thank you for your understanding.

One of the all-time greats and endlessly photographable

nice slop avatar there. too lazy to commission an artist or just a rabid externalizer of costs?

I think you should show this film to all politicians in Germany who think that LNG is a great idea.

Even the trailer left me deeply affected, even though I already knew so much about it.

Germany is explicitly named as an externalizer of “death.”

A Real Pain does a great job of showing two of the manifestations of generational trauma, the over-controlled and under-controlled person, the internalizer and the externalizer, the person who sits stiffly beside a weeping person, and the person who is a weeper

Advocating getting this tattooed into the eyelids of every American. The underpinning of all of this is the externalization of consequences into larger and larger groups of people non-inclusive of the externalizer, at the cost of greater costs to externalize.

Yes!! So much of my empathetic parenting ended up using my not feeling feelings (firstborn is AuDHD and an externalizer whereas I internalize everything) and my kid senses stuff I don’t and gets upset and I’m just like so lost. I had already spent all my time thinking and now apparently I must feel

🧵. Bsky has an unusually large number of active trans early adopters who have either (a) not dealt with their trauma or (b) adopted the externalizer-villifying tendencies of their shitty parents despite escaping them.

Understandable - trauma is hard! - but also in need of moderation.
I don't think the moderation team is transphobic: I think an unusually high number of early adopters of Bluesky were trans and, as is common with early adopters, feel themselves to be somehow entitled to special treatment or to get to run the site, and so moderation tends to fall on them.

I don't think Trump would ever take his own life. Anything is possible but....

He cares too much about what people think. He likely views that as weakness. He's an externalizer, blaming others & circumstances always before accepting any blame

His ego strength is weak but his defense is grandiosity

💯💯💯
I’m an externalizer and a band-aid ripper. I’d rather just tear through the painful hard part right away and not let it get worse, because it always gets worse the longer it sits, always.
This isn’t everyone’s cup of tea obviously.

I am an internalizer. For internalizers, pain worsens depression & heightens passive suicidality & increases self-harm ideation. If you’re an externalizer, I can absolutely see how it led to the path Luigi took.
i think the kneejerk thing making a lot of normies upset about luigi is that they don't understand how nihilistic it is to have pain and other suffering every single day -- it rewires you emotionally. we all need to acknowledge together that it can make people suicidal at the very least.

2/ The generator can now send/receive via Spring ApplicationEventPublisher, enabling Modulith integration. It supports any existing event externalizer, or...

3/ I created this SC Streams event externalizer that handles POJOs or Message and supports Avro payloads

There was a time before my appreciation of NIN (not death metal, but it’s what came to mind), and then there’s the rest of my life. The turning point was needing something to externalize the overwhelming emotions I felt at a specific moment. The externalizer: NIN “broken”.

Yes, exactly - there are two types of responses to being victimized/traumatized - internalizer or externalizer.

Piggy has stretched the externalize continuum all the way to Moscow and back.

Do you have any siblings, when it got to how one may be an internalizer and the other externalizer, it described us too well.

It is a chaos externalizer. You spend more time cleaning up the hallucinations from the word salads of LLMs than the person using the LLM would have spent to just write some original thoughts.

The categories or internalizer vs externalizer in Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents are a little too neat and tidy sometimes, but they are useful to think with. The descriptive language of internalizers feels especially validating.

A brief taxonomy of the pickup truck:
- 5000lb kinectic weapon for the frighteningly misinformed
- planet destroying expressions of male insecurity
- a 5000 lb malignant manifestation of the dick-worshipping douche club
- Ford White Knightning
- Responsibility Externalizer XT
- Tonka technical

There’s a word for that …

A person who consistently blames others for their own mistakes or errors can be called a #blamer, #externalizer, #scapegoater, or #projectionist. … avoid taking responsibility for their actions and instead attribute blame to external factors or other people.
My flight is on time: Thank you Trump Administration!

My flight is delayed: Thanks a lot Biden!
Sean Duffy: "We're all been reporting and seeing what's happening at Newark airport. And I think it's clear that the blame belongs with the last administration."

i think i can mostly wrap my head around an externalizer, but yeah, maybe not an abuser

i don't know where the line is, in between victim blaming and saying "yo, that coyote over there has sure eaten a lot of your cats. looking kinda rotund lately. oh, you're heading back to the shelter?"
