Arguing that the West and Ukraine must curtail their sovereignty, by restricting what they say and do, to avoid any paranoid fears Putin might have is *ridiculous*.

eyeo is just example, but this sort of legal but arguably predatory behavior that leverages the ignorance of ad blocker users against the confusing state of the ad tech industry to take money from ads that would have run normally w/o them is not uncommon. A lot of blockers and VPNs work similarly...
