just found out the factorization of 65535 is 3 × 5 × 17 × 257

ffff

the factorization of 4294967295 is 3 × 5 × 17 × 257 × 65537, too

ffffffff

a lot of people are aware that you can factor
2025 = 45²

i'm honored to announce the factorization
2026 = (45-i)(45+i)

Never saw a graphical description of the difference of squares factorization so I made one. I don't know why.

I like the prime factorization
2025 = (5^2)x(3^4)

The luddites worked at home, with their families, where they had the freedom to set their own schedules, or in small shops with their peers. One of the main things luddites were fighting against was the *creation* of sweatshop conditions, which was only enabled by mass mechanization + factorization!
I also pine for the days of working in sweatshops. Bring back those fair wages and pleasant conditions!

Recently, I was helping somebody (re?)learn about prime factorization. I realized that part of my enthusiasm for this process comes from a synesthetic experience I have with the prime factorization seeming to correspond to how numbers "feel" to me... #iteachmath

Years ago I taught my kids prime factorization and the fundamental theorem of arithmetic using the snowflakes we were making for Christmas decorations. I wrote up my explanation to them as a lesson for others to use with their kids or their class.

the prime factorization of 2025 is 3⁴5² which i think is nice. you got all the numbers from 2 to 5 in there

my main gripe with ADTs is how much refactoring feels like factorization

they are immediately exposed when an actual droid challenges them to do a prime factorization problem

my absolute favorite math fact is that: 13,532,385,396,179 = 13 ⋅ 53^2 ⋅ 3853 ⋅ 96179

its decimal representation includes the same digits, in order, as its own prime factorization.

This is so funny because I think what Gates is trying to talk about is prime factorization but he's so bad at math he doesn't realize that you're supposed to be dividing the big number into primes not dividing a prime number into other numbers because he's just

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed
not an isolated incident btw, gates is just generally an annoying guy who pretends to know math

reminds me of how elon musk fakes knowing linear algebra and openly tells people who disagree with him that they're just scripted NPCs. billionaires are probably all like this to some degree

I really think 1 is pretty obviously a prime number, and instead the idea of a prime factorization should just be a minimum prime factorization.
