We talk about the American Dream like it’s still “Death of a Salesman”—most days it feels like “American Psycho.” A culture of individualism, fear, and boys raised without a village. Full breakdown found in Notes #SparkleLandUniverse #FairyLore #America #Movies #Cult #AmericanDream #CultureCritique

The theme of SpookySunday is never more specific than simply 'ghosts'. But not things from fairylore or vampires, for example. I accept supernatural death omens and recognise some spooks (like banshees) do straddle both worlds, as it were. Unquiet spirits and unearthly echoes from the past are best!

Meet the Ben-Varrey, mermaid of the Isle of Man. She's different from the deadly mermaids we usually hear about.
But don’t get too comfortable.

In Irish lore the hollow hills hid the palaces of the Sidhe. Strange lights and unearthly music were said to drift from the mounds, and at the year's turning the doors opened and the host rode out.
If a hill glows and the music rises… best not follow. 🌿

In Welsh folklore, Pembroke Corgis were said to be the battle mounts of the Fae. Their little “fairy saddles” are the markings left by riders galloping into moonlit mythic wars. 🐾
