We already have #Fast5 with a varied points / distance format - why not develop that as a sister competition and specialist format for players that suit the style of play?

we save our nanopore raw data as fast5, you can re-call from fast5 later on as well. I think NCBI accepts fast5 files, but not 100% sure.

ENA declares that they accept fast5 but this format is already deprecated.
I know that it is possible to submit basecalled data in fastq, bam or cram, but this is not the raw data.

Totally agree. I don't like it at all. I get Fast5 having 1/2/3 point shots as that's essentially a different game based on Netball, but we don't need it in the core game!

If there’s one thing that the war on drugs has taught us, it’s that cutting off supply reduces demand and makes the drug much less popular, which in turn disincentivizes transporting said drugs across the border via any crazy dangerous cannonball run/hogan’s heroes/fast5 contraptions. That’s science
