IF IT AIN’T FDIC INSURED, DON’T MAKE IT YOUR PRIMARY BANK

THE FDIC EXISTS TO PROTECT CUSTOMERS FROM BANKS GOING UNDER.

PRIOR TO THE FDIC, IF A BANK WENT UNDER, YOUR MONEY WENT WITH IT.

I appreciate my banks reminding me that they’re FDIC insured, but every time I read that something is “backed by the full faith and credit of the United States” these days, I have to laugh so I won’t cry

do you enjoy knowing that when you deposit money in a US bank, you won't lose that money? nice, right?

it's because bank deposits are insured by FDIC.

i don't know what FDIC ever did to these people, but apparently it too is now on their blow-it-up list:

Banking regulator rescinds more than 200 job offers for examiners it needs
A government-wide hiring freeze is adding to a staffing shortage at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., complicating the agency’s efforts to oversee thousands of banks across the country.

don’t store your money in PayPal. put it in your traditional bank or something fdic insured. there’s no methods to reclaim your money if PayPal decides to close your account unlike any other bank

is it barely lower than the number of people who know that the earth goes around the sun every year? also yes

a lot of people just don't know shit, is the thing

Exclusive | Trump Advisers Seek to Shrink or Eliminate Bank Regulators
The advisers have asked potential nominees whether Trump could abolish the FDIC.

Our nonprofit went through the Silicon Valley Bank collapse. FDIC sweep accounts ensured our federal grant money was insured. The existence of the FDIC is really fucking necessary for all kinds of reasons rich ppl don’t think of.
