It also shortens to FECC if it were to catch on, and I think that acronym is very easily speakable, distinct, and just kinda sounds vaguely ugly to the ear.

Which is so bizarre given that 20yrs embraced detailed target development, confirmation, and initiating fires missions with observation with any optic or confirmed radar track. If you went into a well-run FECC you saw all the effects disciplines present w/ an attempt at synchronization.
