Big surprise for Lilac as she was bounding/flapping around the brooder box and suddenly found herself up on the edge!
Had to grab her and put her back in, Jim has having a VERY vocal cow, LOL 😁 #Chickam
Both of these poor chicks are SKINNY, & had spent their life so far in a big metal feedstore tub.

We always have a gallon jug of chlorhexadine on hand. We use a lot of it, for cleaning and flushing wounds, treating skin issues, etc. We use Fightbac as our post milking spray. I order it by the case, much cheaper than buying individual bottles at the feedstore or from a livestock supply.

It feels a bit like the start of a medieval apocalypse tale; a big storm passed and flooded the land. The river is about to burst its banks. Rats got into my feedstore and spoiled much of the horse's hard feed. Hay is going faster than expected, and I'll need to buy more. Everything is damp.

You can buy it at the feedstore and avoid giving those other people a markup. I have it here for the cattle if you are desperate to get some. Get those lice and worms under control.

Modern trucks have such small beds.
When I was using a truck regularly we had it so we could pull a trailer; and get a ton of hay from the feedstore to the barn.

Went to town, got feed, dodged raindrops, treated myself to my Moolatte for going to town (I have most of the Stablemates Breyers that the feedstore is selling, so no ponies for going to little town). Came up with awesome merch ideas for my cozy fantasy, as one does on a quasi-rainy afternoon.

Busy day! We got a UHaul, went to the feedstore for cattle panels, posts, some dirt and mulch, then dropped them off at home. Loaded the truck with all the heavy crap we've been saving for a landfill run and did that, and returned the truck. Then went jeans shopping(old navy had a sale) I'm so done!

Busy day! We got a UHaul, went to the feedstore for cattle panels, posts, some dirt and mulch, then dropped them off at home. Loaded the truck with all the heavy crap we've been saving for a landfill run and did that, and returned the truck. Then went jeans shopping(old navy had a sale) I'm so done!
