Great piece! Important to note that it's students from mid GenX all the way to today's GenZ who pay many 1000s/y when older GenX, boomers and Silent Gen got #feesFree and allowances.

That's a LOT of de-laddered adults who must fund superannuation with their supposed personal success. #nzpol

Seriously, if you're not using The Bank of $Fam and concerned about big debt -as you should be- you're much more able to get a job to supplement costs in later study years than 1st.
