I'm really so happy for my many friends on here from Georgia and Texas because I've seen firsthand how fucking hard they have been fighting to make their states better places

Yup. And as someone in his district, i know firsthand that his weevily ways start at home: he also does not do what we need locally, preferring to prop up the harmful establishment

I worked there from 2007-2011 and can say firsthand that the culture had a lot of issues already back then
...yeah, so combatant commands should not have podcasts. CENTCOM does not needs its own voice out there - it reports to the president and it testifies to Congress.

It's been clear for some time now that something is pretty wrong in the institutional culture in CENTCOM.
CENTCOM is now producing a podcast. Here's a sample:

FLEET MASTER CHIEF COMPTON: You are the original fry guy. You like French fries.

ADMIRAL COOPER: We should let the world know. For years, I've been eating your French fries. The secret is now out...I never met a French fry I didn't like

1. I apparently told my mom in ~2014 or so that racism was still a core animating feature of US politics, that despite the obama-era optimism it was not dead. I was in college in louisiana at the time and saw it firsthand

It's a field of academic study. Clearly they saw apartheid firsthand as a young adult and it changed the course of their life

When I hit the campaign trail with Jocelyn Benson, I saw firsthand how much she cares about Michigan's families. I'm proud to welcome her to Team Dem Govs, and I know Michigan is in good hands.

Ward 9 voted overwhelmingly for Cedrick Frazier because of his campaign promise to prosecute ICE. More neighbors were kidnapped from Ward 9 than almost anywhere. We voted for Frazier because of baby Chloe, because of her dad, because we saw firsthand the terror ICE inflicted on our neighbors

As someone who can't play Ocarina right away, I'm HEAVILY considering leaving social media for a bit. The magic of the remake is experiencing the new firsthand. There are so many screenshots that are just "Check this out" that I want to scream. Tell, don't show.

I saw firsthand how @caitfornewyork’s campaign focused on affordability and rooting out corruption. Our members in NY-17 trust her to fight for stronger public schools, lower cost of living, and a democracy that works for all of us. Congrats, Cait!

I'd need to verify that with some firsthand experience :3

i have experienced firsthand that the benefits of a more upright position far outweigh the "aero penalty."

Again, this is an agency that cannot be reformed and must be dismantled.

I witnessed similar brazen violations firsthand on Tuesday. They don't give a fuck.
Advocates say key part of PROTECT Act violated on first day at local Mass. courthouse
Part of the PROTECT Act law restricting ICE arrests at courthouses went into effect this week, but advocates say it’s already been violated.

Good news, regardless of the election results, is that Haley Stevens is done, and people are seeing firsthand how pro-Israel Dems and centrists tried to sabotage Abdul El-Sayed.

I have seen this firsthand in federal district courts.

SCOTUS may get the headlines, but America owes so many members of the judiciary a debt of gratitude for holding the line - alone - against autocratic rule.
For the last 21 months, the lower federal courts have been fighting a rearguard action against the lawlessness of the Trump administration—with no support from Congress and very little from #SCOTUS.

One of tonight’s less visible consequences will be that we’ll have a Congress that has their backs.

After she was forced to flee Tennessee to receive essential abortion care, our client Allie Phillips sued the state over its cruel ban.

Now, she’ll serve in the Tennessee House, bringing her firsthand experience with the consequences of abortion bans to public office.
CLARKSVILLE — the @tndemocrats announce @allie4tn ALLIE PHILLIPS, who had to flee Tennessee for abortion care in New York, is finally in the house 🎉

Heard a lot of downright embarrassing gamedev anecdotes from a friend I had who worked on Suicide Squad firsthand. Really was a game that released Despite Everything.
