Good news for flyfishers.
Warm weather typically sends fish deeper in the water, and they are generally closer to the surface when it's cold. For flyfishers (like me), cold water makes for better/easier fishing - so maybe the same is true for grebes? (Great photo).

Mid to late 1800s, which means they are likely in Mary Orvis Marbury’s book. UK flyfishers heavily influenced flies all around the world.

Brisk 30 min walk @ Lake Pueblo State Park today. I saw a few Red-tailed hawks on my drive into the park and too many Osprey to count and a couple of nice trout... up-stream from the flyfishers. The American plum and Eastern Redbud are in bloom. Enjoy your time nature!

I wonder at the Alt description listing berrying as the primary activity. Most flyfishers would put fishing first. & berry picking as something to do on the way to the water or from the water.

When the Memphis pyramid was built the Ramses exhibit was shown there. They held concerts where bands like the Grateful Dead played. NBA moved in with the Grizzlies and they wanted a fancier stadium. So city leaders scratched their heads and brought in Bass Pro. That was the best they could do. 😂
