I have learned since posting this that a lot of people genuinely didn’t realise that adrestia is the oldest country and oldest institution in fódlan… this explains a lot about why some people perceive adrestia as a sort of plucky underdog country and not the biggest most powerful country in fódlan
seeing people react to this map and assume it’s a sequel based on it, i am surprised at how many people don’t remember fódlan was once all the adrestian empire before faerghus + leicester got independence
