Like, every argument for Edelgard's version of history falls apart, when you ask, why would THE FOUNDER OF ADRESTIAN EMPIRE want to split it up to "control" the people of Fodlan from the shadows? She already HAD that level of influence, and she let it LAPSE, if anything.

on silver snow: literally all of the noble bloodlines are in shambles due to their heirs dying or outright being wiped out. the surviving members were weakened greatly by the war—more importantly, literally every government has collapsed.

I have learned since posting this that a lot of people genuinely didn’t realise that adrestia is the oldest country and oldest institution in fódlan… this explains a lot about why some people perceive adrestia as a sort of plucky underdog country and not the biggest most powerful country in fódlan
seeing people react to this map and assume it’s a sequel based on it, i am surprised at how many people don’t remember fódlan was once all the adrestian empire before faerghus + leicester got independence

Going from Cai to Dietrich is so funny tonally. I don’t think the writing is particularly good, but I love the audacity. Dietrich and Fabio being the Fodlan representation is such an inspired choice.
