hm, another annoying thing here: oleg in this pic is agroing the blackfire monk on the other side of the fogwall. That monk has also killed me by attacking through the fog. I might need to kill that dude just because the game is being weird

I'm playing the original PC version and I'm sure Scholar didn't change it but just getting invincibility during fogwall entry animations would be live-saving for this game, like the room before Velstadt gives me nightmares.

I restored my old DS2 save and continued my 2nd total run which wasn't too bad but I got to the first DLC's first boss. I should know most bosses from videos but god this sucks so much. The runback is bad, numerous enemies in front of the fogwall and the fight itself is a ganksquad.

same for when i summoned for commander niall. we got invaded like 4-5 times just trying to get to the fogwall. invasions feel more like a hassle than like "added excitement & risk." & if pvp just doesn't happen to be your thing it's often a death sentence bc you're not running a pvp-optimized build

Yeah I don't count jump skips either. Like you can pretty easily hop down to Lower Undead Burg from that one spot right at the beginning of ds1, but I wouldn't necessarily say Capra is meant to be the first boss in the game, even if said jump drops you right next to his fogwall

i spent the points to get a hint for Undead Burg fogwall key. it's Ashe's starting item. the only character pickup i remember is the guy in the oubliette in the prison i don't have a key to get into. my lack of FF12 knowledge has already become A Problem
