I bulk followed ~800 musicians via a series of starter packs and now I'm a huge fan of anime-themed microtonal folkwave OOPS

Sure, you could feel bad today, or you could get lost in a world somewhere between magic and code.

Mid 80s Clannad is great because the production makes it folkwave. No notes.

Dear bluesky, I am looking for help. I am compiling a list of folk based sub-genres and micro-genres. Whether it's Wyrd Folk, Folktronica, Disco-folk or Post-Fordian Folkwave do please let me know your favourites below. Feel free to share this post, you are all marvellous march hares....

This is me on my way to play tomorrow in Hovden at the top of #setesdal Concert with Maija Lindaas, some overlap and a DJ set with #norwegianelectronicfolkmusic Kittelsen was early in describing the vibe! #norway #nordcore #folkwave #hyperfolk #turbohalling #hardingfeleertøft

I love coming back to this - an extraordinary 1989 live radio show by Philip Tabane and Malombo for WNYC while they toured the States. The opening few minutes is a track from "Unh!" before it moves into interview and live performance www.wnyc.org/story/philip... #SouthAfricanJazz

At last norway got it's own evergreen! Next week we are heading west: come and hear Spelemannslaget for fremjing av møsagrodde slåttar and Naaljos Ljom. As a DJ I will try to my best to plunder the norwegian heritage! #folkmusic #electronicmusic #folkwave #folkdance #party

With maybe some Folkwave which is apparently a thing.

Not sure which genre.
