The free fontmaking tools also helped a lot in this regard. 💚

as you can probably guess, I'm used to it by now 😅 there're definitely accessible routes in - Fontstruct is excellent for getting into fontmaking in an easy, free, fun way. I've considered doing FontCreator etc tutorials down the line for more advanced but still accessible methods of making them.

it kinda looks worse to me all fancy'd up but its prolly just cuz the mismatched levels of polish makes it look weird... the sketch version is more consistently rough so its fine. i should just make another handwriting font but i cant commit that much time to the fontmaking rabbit hole at the moment

That's pretty awesome. I always had a weird obsession with glyphs, I loved scrolling through the Wingdings symbol list as a kid, seeing what's there to find. And fontmaking seems like such an underappreciated skill
