Great to see my first (2) local NORFOLK (or Green-eyed) HAWKERS today at the Foxearth Meadows Nature Reserve in Essex. They have been seen here for the last few years (mostly singles) and it seems very likely that they have now established themselves. @britishdragonflies.bsky.social

'He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.'

Visited Foxearth Meadows Nature Reserve today, passed it a few times & wondered what it was like. Quite small & focussed on Dragon- & Damselflies. Reed bed, wet ground looks promising. Little Egret in river, nesting Coot on Pond. Will visit again! #essexbirding @essexbirdnews.bsky.social

For all that we see here in the BlueSky space, the weak sauce attempts at hits on Harris, the shocking breaches if public decorum by Trump and/or Vance -- when I chat with more right wing friends or my ConservaBoomers it's like speaking with aliens from the planet FoxEarth.
