If fenway thinks this will allow them to stay a FQHC, they are delusional. The Trump admin will not stop until they abandon all their trans patients and at that point, they might as well shut down because it would be such a fundamental betrayal of their patients.

If you are trans and rely on Fenway Health for gender affirming care, I recommend seeing if you can shift your care to other providers in Boston. I have no faith that FH simply won't drop all gender affirming care in a bid to remain a FQHC. You cannot trust them to have your best interest in mind.

Worse, they made this message come from the "care team" when this came from their cowardly lawyers and executive team. Trans patients can no longer trust Fenway Health to have their best interests at heart. What's to stop them from ceasing all GAC without warning to remain an FQHC?

These high provider costs are what "abundance agenda" in healthcare could tackle:
• Create more doctors, remove BA requirements, start people in med school at age 18, and create more residency slots
• Lift certificate of need rules, more hospitals

There's nothing stopping HRSA from cancelling grants anyways for the provision of GAC to adults. The Trump admin could still remove FQHC status for failing to comply with prior executive orders denying the existence of trans people. This is a chickenshit move by Fenway Health's leadership and board.

Seems like a fast track to societal collapse. I work for a FQHC, we absolutely rely on federal grant money. We employ close to 500 people and provide medical, behavioral health and dental services to 15-20,000 patients a year. We’re one organization. The effects of this will be enormous.

This is just insane! 😢 I work at the largest FQHC in the state of Maine, and we can not access our funding! These are grants that have already been awarded. 😔 We have 900 employees, and we serve 60K patients. 💙This needs to be fixed ASAP! 🌎🕊
