Final Fantasy XIV gpose of Fray Myste using the skill Unleash. His sword is planted vertically into the ground, crackling purple while razor sharp sickles of dark energy erupt around him. Final Fantasy XIV gpose: a top down view of Fray Myste as he looks up, a wild look in his burning yellow eyes.

A picture made to resemble a faded photograph or a distant memory. Myosotis flowers cover the foreground, while Elanor and Fray serve as the secondary focus. Their faded silhouettes reach for each other, eyes searching eyes as their bodies intertwine with the scenery. Elanor wears the smallest of smiles, while Fray seems to be pleading with her.

Now I wonder if I am the reason you haven't left, my beloved one, my Revenant. You stay put...

Day 4: Love | Vengeance

In the end, all girls are like the Rose Bride.
#imbertaingpose
An edited Final Fantasy screenshot. Fray Myste (she/her) is, for once, depicted without her signature black armor, instead in a black gown with gold accents and detached sleeves. Her hair, usually under her helmet, is done up in braids, with red bellflowers tucked behind her ear. She holds a bouquet of roses while surrounded by lillies, dutch irises, and forget-me-nots. Three Deathbringer greatswords, the sword her childhood friend Sidurgu carries and that her shade as Esteem mirrors, are pointed at her heart. She looks away with a resigned expression.

Day 3 - Adventure

You ought to take your shade out to walk and hunt every so often; it's good for their health!
A Gpose in the Great Hunt. Fray, all shadow, is floating over a fallen Rathalos, absolutely jubilant and feral and probably waiting for the next opportunity to hunt.

A sweet memory of the past. Fray lies fast asleep on a bed, surrounded by a pile of tomes, one open book resting beneath their hand as the other tucks under their pillow. Rielle and Sidurgu stand nearby, seemingly having come to bring them supper. Rielle climbs onto the bed, fingers poised to tickle the dark knight awake, while Sidurgu watches in mild alarm, raising a finger to his lips in a plea for a gentler awakening.

In the darkest night, you were born to shine.
#imbertaingpose #frayaris
A digital screenshot edited from Final Fantasy. In the shining glow of the light-corrupted skies of Norvrandt, Arismont Imbertain (he/him exclusively) casts a long shadow, from which the ghostly form of Fray Myste (she/her) rises. Both Dark Knights are prepared for battle, fully armored as the faded silhouettes of sin eaters descend.

When given a [second] canvas, where do you place your first stroke?
#imbertaingpose #frayaris
An edited Final Fantasy screenshot. Under the shade of a tree manifests the shadowy knight Fray (she/her), given the chance to look upon a fresh canvas on an easel. Arismont (he/him), an elezen in plain clothes decorated with bright patterns, holds out his palette and brush as he awaits Fray's instruction. A different angle of the same screenshot. The camera pans out from the duo, showing off the rainforest landscape of Kozama'uka before them. Arismont, more familiar with the land from having grown up there, allows Fray to ponder over the canvas and how she'd like to take in the new scenery for herself.

" Through the pain and the grief
You've been my one and only relief
Cause this town is sad and we like it that way. You're born here, you stay put "
- The One Inside Part Three: Relief, Beardsfish

#fraymyste #FrayWeek26 #fraywol
Digital watercolor artwork. Fray, as we know, can be seen at the middle with melancholy eyes. My WoL, Gabriele Gabbiani, is at his right side with her attention away and a bold glance. At Fray's left lies Gabriele's Esteem in deep agony; Part of her darkness is surrounding both. Behind the three, Fray's true soul remains resilient in silence. His silhouette embodied by a light blue-aethered aura, holding the funereal Iris flower on his right hand. This entire composition shows the difference of Fray and Gabriele's Esteem, once both are not the same, but keep a bound for a time, sharing the same mortal body. Gabriele spend months without questioning who's the one alongside with her during the journey for self-knowlede... and why his heart has become a shelter to her tumultuous feeling and thoughts...

Inside the inn room at the Forgotten Knight, Fray's simulacrum crouches fearfully on the floor, their head cradled between their hands. One eye peers through their fingers, showcasing the dread and anxiety hidden beneath their defensive posture. On the bed beside them sits the silhouette of Fray in their living form, hands bound in swirling red strings, staring down at their simulacrum with anger and disappointment. The strings writhe chaotically throughout the room, ensnaring both figures in a suffocating web, coiling and trying to close around the simulacrum's throat. Arrows protrude from the armoured Fray's neck and back, a grim reminder of their death. Three more arrows hover ominously above the simulacrum's head, poised like cruel reminders of a past they cannot escape.

Day 3 - Duty/Rest

While those in the light rest their weary flesh, the spirits in the shadows go on about their duties.

Though, talk about self-deprecation on another level...for the unarmoured one at least. The other one seems more intrigued.
A Stormblood-patches era Gpose in Bokairo Inn. In the back, Lucient and Meteor are fast asleep, Meteor unceremoniously plopped on top of Lucient like they're human pancakes. On the edge of the bed, two Frays are sitting and doing some work that's awfully domestic for Dark Knights. Esteem (Meteor's "Fray") sits fully armoured on the left side, polishing his host's katana while glancing over at his spiritual sire. Fray (Lucient's Fray) sits in casual clothing on the right side, completing the embroidery on one of Lucient's levemete requests and glaring at his doppelganger. Both are surrounded by Darkside aura, though Esteem's is noticeably shadowier. Close up on Esteem. Close up on Fray. He's embroidering a Moogle.

Day 1: Identity | Memory

Recognition of the self through the other.
#imbertaingpose #frayaris
A collage of screenshots from Final Fantasy edited together, depicting two knights leaned against one another. Arismont Imbertain, a transgender man whose armor is donned in feathers and bright fabrics, is sitting with an arm on his leg. He is highlighted in blue. Fray Myste, interpreted in this particular headcanon as a transgender woman, is slumped over leaning against Arismont. Her armor is padded in thicker leathers and metal, and her face is obscured by a dark helmet except for her eyes, looking off with a forlorn expression. She is highlighted in pink. Their backdrops share the opposite highlight- the traditionally gendered pink and blue are now over Iq Br'aax and Foundation respectively, a gesture towards the pair's individual origins as well as their similarities, as supposedly "opposite" as they are.

Alternative angle
A Gpose portrait of Fray as a child, alone in the Brume. Well, not exactly alone, since he's being haunted by darkness-borne apparitions of his dead childhood friends, Erik and Randall. Erik, headless, appears behind the fencing, reaching out to rest his hand on Fray's shoulder. Randall, consumed by darkness, kneels by Fray, hugging his lower half as if to pull Fray down towards him. He's grinning in a predatory way, and his eyes glow red in the same way Fray's one day will. Both younger and older brother are wreathed in auras of darkness, befitting of their natures as hallucinations. Fray is looking down at Erik's hand with guilt. He holds his daggers out, one close to his body, one close to his face. In his left hand, pinched between his finger and his thumb, is the blue bird carving Lucient made and gave to him.
