3. IRL, the worst day regarding radiation release was March 15, 2011, and I think March 16. Those were the highest (and it was VERY HIGH.) After that, it drops, but not to a low point. Just less than the peak.

So at the same time we in Fukshima were receiving most radation, the news is curtailed.

7. Fukshima Prefecture is mostly mountains---something one may not quite believe when looking at my photos. But that's because I stay in the places where people live.

I don't go into the mountains......Cuz I'm not a bear. And I'm not an experienced outdoorsy type person.

What's in the pond?
Bubble, bubble,

Presumably its source is contaminated water from Fukshima ground and rain water runoff into the ocean and from there to Indonesia. Cs-137 decays by β emission, either directly to stable barium or (mostly) indirectly through a short-lived metastate of barium with accompanying emission of γ radiation.
The FDA detected radioactive cesium in cloves, marking the latest contamination incident from Indonesian food suppliers.

There have been so many, many, many books about "Fukushima" yet no American publishers have ever published any books by people who were here. (An Australian publisher has published a book of poems by a Fukshima poet.)

What happened has been exploited. For money, for careers, by people.

Un accident type fukshima couterait 20% du pib annuel, autant dire que notre economie n'y survivrait pas.

Fukshima fences

There's a ditch there. The flowers are in a home's yard.
I was entranced by this scene, and spent quite a while trying to figure out how to post with the book. Decided against it. Could not make it work.

3. I walked to the other side of the station. I wanted a view from the bridge. My camera is pointing west. I think the towers are leading from JERA's thermal energy plant.
JERA is "Tokyo Electric Power Company and the Chubu Electric Power Company" meaning it is not a Fukshima or Tohoku plant.

--I want to give a link to his wonderful picture book, but BlueSky won't let me. It's about the frogs of Fukshima, and explains the frogs. Very interesting.
Yet, it's also about Fukushima. His book tells bc frogs are small, they were affected by radiation more than big animals.

And thank you for not calling it "Fukshima water." The media (those for and against the release) often refer to the water as "Fukushima's"

That water is NOT Fukushima's water. It's TEPCO's. (Tokyo Electric Power Company's water.) The plant is in Fukushima, but it's not our water.

By "Fukushima" he means "Fukushima Daiichi"
A person who says "Fukshima" instead of "Fukushima Daiichi" is not an expert.
