They don’t have the same fancy managed offerings, but I’m finding I don’t really miss those with LLMs to turbocharge my latent sysadmin knowledge.

trying to move away from US infrastructure and FullHost seems like the best/only option for VPSs in Vancouver, giving them a try and will report back. Decent pricing but their admin options are... amateur hour compared to everyone else.

Last night I started migrating the last of my domains from cloudflare to FullHost, 100% Canadian hosting and 100% Canadian data storage.

OVH is technically French but has a strong presence here, but I think they’re also exposed to the US. Probably will just end up using FullHost tbh

We host in Toronto but DO is an American company, so that may not be providing the best security right now. I found FullHost, a Canadian company, and that sounds promising.

seconded; these days I'm defaulting to OVH (French, with servers in Eastern Canada, v. professional) for cloud services, plus FullHost (Western Canada, cheap but amateurish) for my VPS where I care more about latency
