L'Oréal USA Names 2026 For Women in Science Awardees, Supporting the Future of Scientific Discovery
NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, L'Oréal USA announced the 2026 For Women in Science (FWIS) awardees, providing five women postdoctoral scientists grants to advance their research. The program, a cornerstone of L'Oréal USA's efforts over twenty-three years, reflects the unwavering commitment to supporting women in shaping their future and making a difference in society through scientific research. The 2026 FWIS cohort represents a dynamic range of research focus areas such as computational biology, astronomy and planetary sciences and neuroimmunology. Dr. Danielle Stevens – Innate Immunity, Computational Biology – University of California, Berkley. Studying how to accelerate the development of sustainable, disease-resistant crops, with the goal of reducing pesticide use and helping protect the food supply. This research uses protein language models and agentic AI to identify plant immune proteins that recognize disease-causing microbes, and automate the design of genetic edits that give crops pathogen protection. Dr. Anna Romanov – Biological Engineering – Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Engineering programmable molecular technologies to uncover fundamental immunological principles and improve human health. Specifically focusing on how B cells evolve and how those insights can be applied to develop new vaccines and immunotherapies. Dr. Katherine Lagerstrom – Ecology and Evolutionary Biology...

Ken Paxton is a thoroughly corrupt, degenerate opportunist. We take no issue with his illiberalism, for, he's an American Conservative.

What does he stand for ideologically? What does he believe in?

FWIS his goals are personal enrichment and his means are criminogenic.

~ Trump in the Senate

👎
Ron White: Eight of Ken Paxton’s assistants turned him into the FBI for fraud... They sued and won $6 million. Guess who paid that $6 million? You and me paid the $6 million for his bribery. His own party impeached him. He’s a criminal.

Peter:

Looks like vapidity and myopia, typical smugness FWIS.

Not necessarily to thrive here, but in order to get on the field in the great game of life, you've got to demonstrate that you grasp the playbook.

FWIS: The signal is coming in loud and clear.
Our Boston federal court’s decision to stop Trump’s illegal and unconstitutional plan to steal the election will reach the Supreme Court. If they let it proceed, get ready to strike, take to the streets, and protect our democracy.

Today we celebrate #WomenInScience Day 🎉 - a celebration of the incredible achievements of women (often against significant odds!) and also a reminder that the world needs #EveryVoiceInScience.

Sucked to learn that but glad to know the truth so I don't casualty praise him. Also fwis throwing shoes at people is an act of endearment in the Pacific Northwest of USA.

FWIS, you need to develop normal modalities for basic cognitive behavior and improve your reasoning skills.

"Men truly believe that other men can do no wrong"

You're definitely an idiot. Due to the stridency, quixotic nature of your post, absent a deletion, I'll assume you're a rancid misandrist.

~ Bottoms (D) 👎

She's not a popular black Democrat, there is a dour quality to her everyday manner. FWIS, she's destined for a 3% loss to either Jackson or Jones. She also detests the game of politics & this fosters blind spots. Turnout for Ossoff, holding the Senate seat is the only prize in GA.

It's looking like a specious story FWIS

OOH ~

This appears to me that he would have, *could have* easily had an affair with this woman (staffer) and that would likely be disqualifying.

OTOH, the origination is consensual:

*"she felt encouraged"*, "*initially welcome"* *"intrigued by him"*,

You have quite the historical record. FWIS, this post was in arrears, just an observation. 🕊️

"For a divided house is not a den of thieves; it is only a divided house. And a ship without rudder may wander aimlessly among perilous isles yet sink not to the bottom."

Kahlil Gibran (On good and evil).
