Surgery went well, it's painful but totally manageable, like... way easier than gallbladder removal last year 😂

Having recently had to have emergency gallbladder surgery, it matters to ME that Democrats are the ONLY political party that supports scientific medicine and our continued access to it. I want every good person to have access to it. I'm voting straight Democratic. Are you?

in high school it was my pipe dream to work in publishing specifically on queer fiction but instead i ended up in pharmacy. relatedly it's so awesome to just walk past lab and hear a nurse fresh out of procedure announce he's dropping off somebody's gallbladder

I did not put together my elaborate altar this year. Between all the house stuff, being on the road for 6+ hours yesterday, and just being unsure where it is going to live in the new house (was in the hospital for gallbladder last year)... I just didn't get it done.

Heart monitor results came back- HEART IS FINE.
According to my dr. My palpitations and high heart rate at times is due to either gall bladder or peri. Likely gallbladder because they mostly conincide with when I eat.
I can stop worrying now. Onward to gallbladder removal!

i think i'm having kind of a "bad mental health day" but the funny thing about it is, and i'm sorry i keep bringing this up, it really is like... slightly better than my baseline mood for the several years my gallbladder was silently failing. really unbelievable how different life is lately

$47k for my entire gallbladder debacle since August (4 ER visits, consults/follow-ups, nuclear med tests, and the actual surgery) and am fortunately only responsible for like 1% of that. healthcare in America is sooooo fucked.

5 stone dropped in 11 months. Never really thought I could do it at the start. Then had my gallbladder removed at the end. My journey encapsulated in two pictures.

Uncomfortable due to the bloating, but all went very very well. No more stinky gallbladder.
My heart aches though.
