When I get to his ripe old age, I’m just gonna post-up everyday on my old desktop computer, after my morning walk, and play CIV4, Pharaoh, and GBoH all day.
I won’t bother nobody. I’ll just eat my ham and cheese sammich, play my games, and talk to my kids and grandkids once per week...tops.

I haven't played the system because of lack of interest in the period, but regarding your concerns I guess it will be taken over by some GMT's teams as they have done with other Berg's systems like GBOH or Ancient World (= Thunderbolt + Rise o the Roman Republic + Carthage)

The thing that killed me with GBoH (only played Cataphract so far) was just remembering the ranged fire rules, especially with certain units that had special abilities. Still enjoy it but def had an easier time with MoI.

Me and Mark recently returned to Chariots of Fire for the heroic epic, Troy. I think the bits with heroes and heroic challenges need work, but it is a very interesting scenario. #GBoH #wargames @gmtgames.bsky.social

Sistema muy similar al GBoH, pero algo más sencillo. Las reglas han cambiado algo con la edición del Tri-pack.

Puede que la referencia de @milanescar.bsky.social sea el podcast que hizo con los Abuelos sobre GBOH?

Now that the Dark Months are here, I commit to addressing my
Shelf of Shame!!!
I realized I have 4 different Great Battles of History games by GMT that I have yet to master.
Just sitting there, gathering dust,
mocking me...
SPQR
Alexander
Cataphract
Simple GBoH
By all the gods,
I WILL Learn them!

That's my recollection. Although there is a pretty wide range of complexity in GBOH.
But yeah, War Galley is a good way to bring casual gamers into naval games, especially if they're fond of the battle scenes from Ben-Hur (the good version).
Thanks for the feedback.
Cheers, Terry

It’s a fun game, and probably the least complex of the GBOH series
