#geocentre
Yes, actually! The game I did for a local science museum (The Geocentre) is something friends, family, and coworkers have been super proud of and supporting. I love hearing when someone I know visits the Geocentre and plays it!

#MinCup26 Round 1 Match 1: I voted Smithsonite because is colour is so subtle and it reminds me of Broken Hill (where I worked as GeoCentre curator/manager for a few years).

Took the kids over to the GeoCentre today and they were really excited to see their Dad’s videogame up on the wall for everyone to see!

A is almost in Halifax. I have 8.5 hours until scheduled take off. Theoretically, I should find a place to work, but I'm thinking I'll head to the Geocentre.
1. Flight home canceled.
2. Originally booked to spend 7 hours overnight in Halifax.
3. Managed to get decent flight, albeit not with A.

what a great crowd out to learn about #Charnia brasieri at the GeoCentre tonight and the celebratory cake from emthefairycakemother.
I can confirm that C. brasieri was delicious. I’ve decided that #Ediacaran organisms became extinct because they tasted so good.

Will do. I'd love to get back over. The Geocentre was but a hole in the ground when I started!

It’s pretty scattered impact & relatively small, and more from the small specialized cruises. GeoCentre gets substantial visitor uptick but it’s not a lot of $. Vancouver seeing cancellations from US cruises to Alaska as tariff retaliation, so different dynamic. Reef destroyers, bah!#BanCruiseShips

I was a groomsman at my friend's wedding there last year. I didn't know they were open to host things like that until he told me the venue. They also did wedding photos with the giant squid at the Rooms. I'd agree with a comment I saw earlier that the Geocentre is suffers from poor vision.

The 2024 Elizabeth R. Laird Lecture is coming up and it features the awesome Dr. Anna O’Grady talking about “Twists and Turns While Searching for Strange Stars". This looks to be a great Astronomy public talk at the Johnson GeoCentre in St. John’s on March 14. facebook.com/events/s/eli...

A wonderful & lovely spot I visited often when I was in Newfoundland working on the Johnson Geocentre, 25 (maybe more!) years ago. Always impressed to find Paradoxides just like those I knew from Pembrokeshire in Wales. My last visit was about 2016 to give a talk at the Manuels visitor centre.

Rocket for coffee, baked goods and lunch-y stuff. Signal Hilll, walk the trail around to the Battery. Johnson Geocentre a bit dated but worth stop on way to Signal Hill. Bannerman Park area a nice place to chill. Whale/iceberg watching boat totally worth it. The Rooms has great views and exhibits.
