The two blue angles are equal. What’s the size of the orange angle?
The two shapes that make up the design are a quarter circle and a semicircle. The blue angles are the two marked with solidly coloured sectors. The orange angle is the one marked with an arc and a question mark.

There are six small pink squares, and a larger tilted purple square which shares ones vertex with the bottom pink square. One vertex of the top pink square lies on the top edge of the purple square. A line from the bottom right vertex of the rightmost pink square makes an unknown angle with the left side of the purple square.

I found this #geometrypuzzle in my sketchbook - I drew it last June, but I’m pretty sure I never got round to posting it. Better late than never!
A rectangle with one diagonal drawn in. A regular hexagon sits on the left below the diagonal, with one side vertical against the side of the rectangle, one sloping side lying along the diagonal, and a vertex touching the base of the rectangle. A second regular hexagon sits above the diagonal on the right so that the design has rotational symmetry. Everything inside the rectangle but outside the hexagons is shaded blue.

This is another of my all-time favourite puzzles. Written on a day when the weather was too bad to go outside, so it seems appropriate for today! How would you solve it?
A puzzle drawn in black and blue felt tip pen. In the bottom left is a square with area 5. Lined up on top of this original square is the second square, which is exactly the same size. Touching these two on their right is a larger third square, which is as tall as the first two put together. And on the right of the third square is the fourth and largest square - we can’t tell exactly how large this one is compared to the others. The following three points are joined to create the blue triangle: the top left corner of the original square, the top right corner of the second square, and the top right corner of the largest square.

What does your method look like?
The base of the largest triangle is horizontal along the bottom of the picture. On its left edge, and sharing the left vertex, is a smaller purple triangle with area 20. On the right edge of the large triangle, and sharing its right vertex, is a yellow triangle with area 5. All three of the red triangle’s vertices lie on the edges of the large triangle, and the vertices on the left and right are shared with the purple and yellow triangles respectively. In the centre of the red triangle is a question mark.
