Am making a Succulent plant Library for my scenes, wanted to make a quick render. Evrything Made in geonodes + shader nodes.

"Influencer tutorials" I call em.
Rarely does the genre showcase something useful. Let alone educational. Its made for clicks. When GeoNodes came out, I remember it was a rat race to see who would beat who.
I have no idea whats new in Blender because I just keep up with these influencer artist

Enough of the glassizm… I've ditched it.

Yo @fideldestro.bsky.social - got any tricks for a simple and hacky way to do (or fake) LOOPABLE dust motes?

I want to have some glittery bokeh dust over a looping title card, and I have some initial thoughts with geonodes, but I feel like you may have something clever since this is more ur lane 👀

If you're using the latest version of the model or re-using the geonodes. tag me so I can see how it's looking / issues!

havent shown this here before but a while ago i made a blender geonodes modifier that generates counters\text w\ prefixes\suffixes, speech bubbles, etc. but recently we updated it some with additional material customization and, as of just earlier today, multi line text and a thought bubble option

the horrendous fuck shit you gotta do in blender just to get line breaks for custom text inputs in geonodes lmao

Made a few more pieces for breaking up large sections of wall. The Delven textures are 128 compared to Torment and High Seas being 256, so the repetition was a bit more obvious. Finally getting to use some geonodes in the workflow with the crown molding. #b3d

A lot of this would be easier to implement in Blender if we had access to actual vertex/fragment shading or an easier way to work with matrices/camera data...

Or I could just learn geonodes, but they're scary and very annoying to grasp so I won't do that, actually.

my body is a machine that turns “try geonodes” into NO!!!!!!!!!
i’m probably gonna experiment with a tension map setup cuz this button up doesn’t behave much like one otherwise lol

I believe so! I never used the bone info node in geonodes tho

How to feed the geonodes proximity data into a shader in Blender.

Breaks my brain, none of it makes sense to us text-loving folks...
Where are these input params
The shader nodes, fine.
I'd love conditionals, but I know pure maths is better for shaders anyways.
But geonodes require some weird Voodoo logic, and I need to restructure my brain for it ._.

i used to get these slop ass shorts in my feed all the time last year and at the time he used a lattice modifier which like, worked? but i think geonodes are probably much better

Headless Blender and an Agent is super powerful. I got a main scene.blend with linked other .blend files that get modified by python scripts.

It's even stronger with good GeoNodes, you just direct simple geomoetry and let the details be created by the GeoNodes.

whew -- it does not feel good to be bringing primitives, first principals, linear algebra library code, and software engineering to geonodes to make it do basic things. no I do not like that at all. Zenny said "can't you just program it?" and yeah... writing bpy would have been simpler...

I feel like you're a new exciting thing to learn kinda person.
Could maybe experiment with a new system to add to animations. Maybe a rig setup or procedural material stuff or geonodes or some fun effects etc.. might help you drive the rest of the project to play with new thing tm. Just a thought.

Fun with geonodes cables. #wip

The only thing I could see this being useful for is for working with and learning GeoNodes, assuming it can even do that.

Update
I was making this way more complicated that needed. Way easier to pull off in particles than GeoNodes

Blender question

Currently working on a character made of water, so she's got bubbles throughout her, distributed via GeoNodes.

Works fine for a still render, but when I animate it with a rig, it recalculates each frame, meaning bubbles randomly move each frame

Any way to fix this?

Geonodes are always tricky, as someone who works with them as a hobby with another friend xd
