Germanity I have encountered today:
-pharmacy claims med doesn't exist and offers "an alternative" (the same thing)
-someone walks backwards into me and then just wanders off (happens 3-5x a day)
-neighbour doesn't want to tell me the location she's going camping, describes vague geography instead

Culinarily speaking, I have pretty much eradicated all of my German-ness (Germanity?), so today I'm making up for that by making Grünkohl (kale).

12th grade English class trip to UK. In York's Jorvik Museum, we gathered around a display with an oddly shaped speck, wondering what it could be. None understood the label. Finally, our teacher (!) asked a weirdly embarrassed museum employee what "faeces" means.
