This is still one of my favorite Python packages that I've designed. It wraps around GliNER and spaCy so that you can perform zero-shot NER inside of a spaCy pipeline. Come up with your own entities and watch the magic.

ModernBERT and GLiNER (and to a maybe lesser extent, GraphRAG) are definitely the advances I expect to build with the most in 2025
Hot take: shipping BERT-sized models in 2025 will benefit far more people than sharing an LLM overfitted to some saturated leaderboards 🙊
We're already seeing ModernBERT finetunes on the @hf.co Hub. My guess is we'll see hundreds of these by the end of 2025.

We used GLiNER, an open source named entity extractor that gave us 920k noisy tags which we then filtered down to 36,000 distinct entities.
We then had cheap LLMs with knowledge of the Epstein case classify these tags.

We used GLiNER, an open source named entity extractor that gave us 920k noisy tags which we then filtered down to 36,000 distinct entities.
We then had cheap LLMs with knowledge of the Epstein case classify these tags.
