It's wild how many symptoms I need to experience before I actually realize I've been glutened again.

"Being glutened" is a good turn of phrase which could easily be applied to things like "shellfished", however adaptation may be needed for dairy and peanuts as I do not believe being "lactated" and "peanutted" are suitable for restaurant use

My wife discovered after being glutened at a place that they boiled their gluten free pasta in the same pot as their gluten pasta. They were otherwise so responsible about asking and confirming but didn't mention that one fact!

In other news, I accidentally glutened myself this evening when I missed a mention of wheat in the ingredients list.🤦🏻‍♀️

We've used "glutened" as a verb in our household. (Never a good day.)

I suspect this is a sense @merriam-webster.com should be looking into — being served something with gluten in a supposedly gluten-free dish or environment.

I had to scour and reseason my pan bc I contaminated it

I glutened myself with food wi zero gluten in its ingredients, trust is shattered

Please, I need immediate support. Is this from gluten or something bad. Im in severe pain.
Hi, Im 37 year old female, 14 months postpartum. Ive been diagnosed after my forst pregnancy, 4 years now in gluten-free diet. I know I’ve been glutened many times but i have silent celiac. Im currently out of country and developed severe cramps, so severe that i can take a breath when they come, they last for 7-10 seconds and after that i don’t have pain. I went to emergency last night and the dr performed ultrasound (professor on radiology) and said that I have 6.5 mm wall thickening on the small intestines, hypervascularity on the walls and some fluid and swollen lymph nodes. The pain is severe, no bloating, painful on touch, with movement or if eat something or drink I get pain right away. I also have mild constipation. Im terrified, I never had this findings even when I had active celiac. He said seems that I have inflammation from gluten, but Im worried about EATL lymphoma, symptoms and imaging are the same. I never had this kind of pain and one more thing is that i can see my bowels moving through my stomach like I have a baby there. Please, had someone had similar symptoms and being only from gluten? Im so worried, I can’t do any further testings here until I'm back to Canada. Does this sound like a flare from gluten? Thank you.

gotta love when you get glutened but there is no obvious culprit so you gotta do the roulette where you eat the same stuff less the top suspect and hope you're right

I ate the exact same thing I eat every day but this time it made me vomit, it’s vegan gluten free but free etc but STILL my stomach said no. Solidarity! Getting glutened sucks!

Thank you, hopefully I stopped getting glutened and it stops. I’m sorry you have to experience nerve damage like that; it’s unfair and dumb and you shouldn’t have to deal with it!!! 😤
