Every time someone extols the flourishing of professional GMing, I ask about how it’s going for folks who are not traditionally associated with GMing/DMing.
I hear about this a lot, but obviously not from the boosters/evangelists.

Not all men and yet somehow always a man. I AM A PROFESSIONAL GAME MASTER & SPG IS NOT A DATING WEBSITE. The way I physically RECOILED the second I read this message. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior towards a professional who is simply doing her job. And don’t worry, I reported/blocked him.

That, here, is the greatest storytelling trick, especially for GMing TTRPG : people can't tell the difference between pre-planned clues and simply reincorporating previously introduced details into the plot later on.

Eventually we're going to have to acknowledge the fact that we're not going to be able to constructively address the GM burnout problem as long as our definition of "bad GMing" includes "having any preferences whatsoever about what kind of game they want to run".
