Well if you talked to the person I knew it’s “I want to go home” but basically cleanse the earth of sin, bring in the reign of Jesus etc etc. I’m convinced that they’re closet gnostics (theologically) after talking to them. Which is not a charge I throw around lightly.

So if you see them talk about hylics, psychics, and pneumatics, yeah they're very much working through a very very Christian idea, not just Valentinian but also Pauline, just that they don't recognise it as being Christian. Or that Valentinian Gnostics saw the Demiurge as one of their good guys.
