We live in the equivalent of a patriarchal nuclear family where the godhead has zero oversight. Everyone else receives consequences to varying degrees but not the patriarchal godhead at the head of the table. The highest judge in the country is the patriarch and we are trapped living under his roof.

I’ve been thinking lately that someone needs to do some work connecting old Mormon theology and the stuff we’re seeing out of Moscow, ID and the other locales out West. It seems to me there’s a lot of overlap in terms of conceptions of the Godhead combined with a hyper focus on authority structure.
